Leo-Cedarville Welcomes New Town Manager

The Town of Leo-Cedarville is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyler Witmer as its new Town Manager, effective January 2025. Witmer, has been a lifelong resident of Leo-Cedarville, he brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the community, making him the ideal choice to lead the town into its next phase of growth and development.

Witmer has shown his dedication to the town through his service in various leadership roles for over 10 years. He has been an active member of the Leo-Cedarville Park Board and most recently served as a Town Council Member and Town Council President, where he has helped guide local initiatives and supported the growth of the community. His broad knowledge of local government operations, combined with his passion for Leo-Cedarville, positions him to be an effective and thoughtful leader for the town.

"I am both honored and excited for the opportunity to continue to serve the people of Leo-Cedarville in a new capacity," said Witmer. "Having grown up here and having served this community in many ways in the past, I understand the values and needs of our town. I look forward to working with the town council, staff, and most importantly the residents to continue enhancing the quality of life for all who call Leo-Cedarville home."

In addition to his public involvement, Witmer has a rich professional background. For the past 23 years, he has worked with Parkview Health, starting as a ground tech and rising to the role of Supervisor, where he has honed his leadership and management skills. Witmer holds a degree in Business Management from Ivy Tech College and has a strong foundation in business administration, providing him with the tools necessary to manage the town’s operations efficiently and effectively.

Witmer is also a former volunteer firefighter and EMT. During his 18 year tenure at Northeast Allen County Fire and EMS he served in a variety of roles including vice-president and president of the organization. During that time, Witmer worked with not only Leo-Cedarville, but also the surrounding towns and townships to make safety a top priority in our community.  He along with his wife and daughter are active members of their local church, where you will find the entire family regularly volunteering. 

The Town Council of Leo-Cedarville is confident that Tyler Witmer will bring strong leadership, clear vision, and a passion for the community to his new role as Town Manager. The town looks forward to the positive changes and growth that will occur under his guidance.
