As many of you are aware, Hosler Road is one lane, allowing only West Bound traffic from State Road 1 to Halter Road. Due to a necessary change in the construction plan, Hosler Road will stay one lane from State Road 1 to Halter Road. (The original plan was only intermittenly) This one lane closure is necessary to allow the contractor to mobilize equipment and expedite the completion of the project. We understand this is causing some inconvenience, but the closures are essential to getting the project completed efficiently and safely. The timing of this project is not ideal and was not the original schedule, as utilities have held up this project for several weeks. The timeframe for completion of this portion of the project is mid to late September. Please follow all posted detours. We appreciatie your patience and understanding as we work to improve our community. Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for your cooperation!

Wish this could have been done in phases instead of disrupting most of the town all at once. Oh Well. we have to live with it.
It is now August 16th and there is still no work being done on Hosler. The September deadline is seeming less and less likely. Will be lucky to have it open before January.
“The timeframe for completion of this portion of the project is mid to late September.” - does this mean the walking path along Hosler will be open and ready for use?!?? Or is the completion of the actual sidewalk TBD yet? It wld be lovely to have that part open and finished for people to use while the other walking areas are closed.
Because of the road closures and one lane access, cars have been speeding and driving the wrong way to get to their neighborhoods. The decision to close Amstutz, Hosler, and Halter in tandem was a terrible mistake.
I hope no family gets a call that that their loved one was involved in an accident!
I am definitely a big fan of improving our community, and totally understand that these projects are necessary to get this done. However, what I don’t understand is that it certainly feels like these contractors have only been working in these areas for 25% (generous #) of the time that all of these roads have been closed or restricted. I’m beginning to wonder if they are actually contractors, or just professional barricade & sign placers?
