Freedom Festival June 24 & 25

Leo Festival and Fireworks to be June 24-25


LEO, INDIANA – The Leo-Cedarville Foundation Freedom Festival will be held June 24-25, 2022 in downtown Leo-Cedarville and at Riverside Gardens Park this year.


This festival kicks off with the “Up the Creek Cruise-In,” a car show with a food truck and live entertainment hosted from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at Riverside Gardens Park.


The event lineup for Saturday, June 25 includes activities for all ages.


“Flow the St. Joe,” a kayak trip presented by the St. Joseph River Watershed Initiative, will take place at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. at Riverside Gardens Park. Guests will begin their trip near the Spencerville Covered Bridge, kayak to the Hurshtown Reservoir for an included lunch, and finish at the boat ramp on Grabill Road.


“Market on Main” sponsored generously by Fort Financial Credit Union, is an outdoor vendor market taking place in downtown Leo-Cedarville’s retail district on Main Street and SR1. This event boasts over 20 local vendors, with products ranging from handcrafted woodworking, to artwork, to children’s clothing and beyond! Retail businesses throughout town will be open so you can shop local all day.


FW22’s “Freedom Ruck March,” a 5-mile hike honoring our Veterans, will go from the American Legion Post 409 to Grabill and back will take place at 3 p.m. with registration beginning at 2 p.m. at the Legion. This hike is free, and helps to raise awareness of FW22’s mission to faciliate community involvement in the support of Veterans and education on suicide prevention and mental illness. Walk or ruck alongside our local Veterans, community members and friends.


Riverside Gardens Park will be bustling with activity all day, with food trucks arriving in the late afternoon, live music by Joe Justice from 4-7 p.m., live music by G-Money Band from 7:30 p.m. - dusk, children’s activities sponsored by Christ’s Church Fort Wayne from 5-8 p.m., and a fireworks spectacular at dusk. Leo’s parks and waterways open all day for the public to enjoy.

The Leo-Cedarville Foundation Freedom Festival is put on each year entirely by the Leo-Cedarville Foundation, a nonprofit organization with an all-volunteer team and no revenue outside of generous donors.
